MyNokiaBlog Will be at Abu Dhabi to Bring You Live Coverage of Nokia World 2013

DSC03995We’re happy to announce that MyNokiaBlog will be on the floor of Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi, come the 22nd of this month. Of course we’re insanely excited about everything that’s to come, plus all the amazing people that will be there (be they fellow bloggers, Nokia people or fans).

We’ll be sure to give you the best coverage we can, including anything and everything slightly Nokia related (and a couple social posts as well to convey the atmosphere). Expect loads of videos, comparisons, hands on galleries and much more once the new products are announced, and we’ll do our best to answer all and any questions you might have about them.

*(Psst: I’ll be taking along my 1020, 920, 820 and the Nokia 501 + My iPad to be able to give you folks a proper feel of the size and dimensions of each device).

Of course we’ll be posting frequently on the blog, but if that’s not enough (or you want more frequent shorter updates, you can follow me all over the interwebs if you’re not already):

We’ve heard of these specs in rumours for a while now but with the date of official announcement only days away, @evleaks pretty much confirms what’s coming.

People Hub Eating Absurd Amounts of Data in Update 3/GDR3

Microsoft released Update 3 or GDR3 earlier this week, as part of their enthusiasts program to anyone who was interested in getting it. But it seems the update wasn’t free of bugs either, as there seems to be a problem with the people hub eating an absurd amount of data, both on Wifi and cellular data. The bug first came to attention after the Verge editor, Tom Warren tweeted about it, and sure enough it wasn’t a single case situation; as many others also had similar issues (I can’t check mine since my data limit reset today, as did data sense’s tracking).

I don’t know if I’m a little too critical because I’m hungry or because the promos are just lame?

Surface Phone 2 – 7mm, 4.7″ WP8 concept

The latest design by PhoneDesigner, as inspired again by the Surface 2, it’s the Surface Phone 2. 4.7″ screen and 7mm thick. It could have a very ‘pocketable’ footprint due to the minimal bezel.

What with Nokia’s Hardware division (devices and services) soon to be part of MS, it’s even more likely now that a surface phone should it appear would be ‘Nokia’ made.
