Offical Facebook app got updated again, adds some features Posted: 04 Oct 2013 02:43 PM PDT Belfiore just tweeted about another Facebook app update, (this time is not for BETA) The update includes features like Inline tagging, photo features, Unfriend/unlike and more. Personally I think one of the best improvement is the back to the top button that shows up every time you scroll up. Don’t take my word for it force update it here. http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=82a23635-5bd9-df11-a844-00237de2db9e … Thanks guys. (Side note: Facebook on WP beats Facebook on Android in almost every way, Its strange to think that even a flagship Android can give a stuttered Facebook experience! (LG G2). ) |

Meet the first Nokia Sensing X Challenge Winners! Nanobiosym Posted: 04 Oct 2013 11:15 AM PDT
NokConv writes about the first ever Nokia Sensing X Challenge winners, Boston based Nanobiosym for their Health Radar. At first I thought the prize said $25,000 but actually it’s 525,000 USD. Makes sense since the pot is worth $2.25M.
Below is the device that could potentially transform the delivery of healthcare by providing personalised diagnostic testing.

Posted: 04 Oct 2013 08:38 AM PDT We all knew it was coming and now it has just become a little more official. Evleaks just posted a press render of the upcoming Lumia 1520.
There isn't much new to be seen as the leaks have been coming in force for this upcoming Lumia device, so there is very little more to add to this picture. The most interesting thing is probably the seemingly small bezel, something Nokia hasn't really been known for in its previous devices. If you have happened to miss some of our previous posts on the 1520, you can find them here, here, here and here. Or see all Lumia 1520 related post here. Source: evleaks (twitter) |
Microsoft in Talks with HTC to Remove WP Licensing Fees, Possibly Dual Booting Android with WP Posted: 04 Oct 2013 12:29 AM PDT
According to a report by Bloomberg, Microsoft are in talks with HTC to find a way to get Windows Phone on HTC’s Android devices. Since Microsoft’s purchase of Nokia HTC have been silent about their future for WP devices, but with many rumors claiming that they will stop producing, or give it even a lower priority than they currently are. In an attempt to make things right it seems that Microsoft are negotiating a way with HTC to get WP on their devices for a low or no cost. Of course at the moment these are just rumors of preliminary talks, with no clear details of what this might mean for the WP ecosystem. But surely losing the licensing fees would increase the attraction of Windows Phone to OEMS. Read the full report over here: |
