Reports from AAS is that the Delight CFW for the Nokia E7 is now available. More disk space, more free ram, general faster operation and you can install ‘unsigned’ apps.

The benefits of Delight custom firmware are obvious though more system disk space (a lot more), more free RAM, less bloat generally, all patches and updates already in place, the ability to install even ‘unsigned’ applications (especially important now that the main Nokia Store is frozen), plus more customisable UI components than you could ever imagine. All laid out and ready to roll with one update, one download.

Screen Shot 2014-02-03 at 13.30.46Trusted Reviews reports that Archos will also be joining the Windows Phone race, something that Alcatel and ZTE may also be considering.

It doesn’t sound completely rock solid. Just that they haven’t ruled it out.

We will launch a Windows Phone handset when the time is right  - Archos CEO Loic Poirie

Though Archos’ main attention will be on Google.

Before anything else we are focussed on Google

This weekend, Rudy Huyn tweeted that he has now started his own company to bring more official apps to WP. Whilst Rudy is famous for bringing the likes of amazing 3rd party alternatives like Instagram, Vine, Snapchat and Tinder, he says 60% of his apps are actually original made.

He has published a lot of these works but not under his name.

First things first is to launch the company and then get employees.

When they’re ready, it may be worth checking things out over at  6studio.net  and 6stud.io

Cheers Alvester for the tip!

Nokia today announced that it is giving UK businesses the chance to trial a select range of Lumia devices for free as a part of the #LumiaBizTrial campaign. The Nokia Lumia 925, 625 and 520 will be provided to qualifying IT and business decision makers to demonstrate the capability of the Lumia range to cater for every level within a business. The #LumiaBizTrial also comes equipped with a personalised service pack to show the advanced experience and wide-ranging benefits Nokia's enterprise-ready Windows Phone smartphones can bring to the workforce.

With the majority of businesses operating in a Microsoft environment, Nokia's Windows Phone business devices integrate seamlessly providing a smooth and familiar experience to unlock maximum productivity straight out of the box. "The Nokia Lumia product range is the obvious choice for businesses looking to optimise their mobile strategy in a cost-effective way," said Adrian Williams, director of business sales, UK & Ireland at Nokia. "Each phone connects to employees' SharePoint, Lync, SkyDrive, Outlook and Office already in use, so they can pick up the work they started in the office right where they left it. Boasting an eye-catching design, the Lumia range allows business users to access their data and applications wherever they are."

Nokia's B2B market share has grown from 5% to 12% in the last 12 months1, representing over 30% volume growth quarter on quarter. Working towards increasing its enterprise presence in 2014, Nokia has invested significantly in its channel partners and introduced a variety of programmes to encourage big enterprises, as well as SMBs and public sector companies to make the change. From those who already have, Nokia has received the highest ratings in every end-user satisfaction measure used by PC Magazine in their Business Choice Award survey, winning it the End-user Business Choice Award for Smartphones in Q4 20132.

The #LumiaBizTrial campaign follows up from the success of the "Lumia Built for Business. Designed for Life." media campaign, which took place from October to December 2013 and resulted in significant demand and a10 percent growth. It is available to key business decision makers in both private and public UK businesses with 100 or more employees. Upon approval, they receive a pack consisting of a Nokia Lumia 925 – a high-end executive device with 8.7MP PureView camera, lightweight aluminum body and HD display; a Nokia Lumia 625 – a 4.7" large-screen, 4G-enabled smartphone; and a Nokia Lumia 520 – a great value smartphone delivering all the benefits of Windows Phone at an affordable price point, along with everything needed to get business-ready.

"We're very proud of our Lumia range and how it caters for all spectrums of the market. The Lumia 520 has been one of our most successful business device, both for smartphone replacements and feature phone upgrades. It offers all the benefits and experiences normally only found in high-end smartphones at an affordable price," said Williams. "At the other end of the portfolio, more than 50 percent of our volume is across the rest of the Lumia range including the Lumia 625, Lumia 925 and most recently – the Lumia 1520."

To complete the range, the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet, perfect for business as well as entertainment, was also introduced to UK business customers in 2013 to complete the Lumia experience of working productively and securely across several devices using the same interface and operating system.  Nokia will continue to grow its B2B team, providing additional capacity and improved support for channel partners and investing to improve awareness and demand from within the business community.

Quick heads up on this coffee break. Janne shares this video showing how to get 4G LTE on the Jolla Phone. Check out the speed differences upon moving to 4G LTE.

Use this app to enable LTE:
Currently enabling LTE will disable calls/SMS for the duration of LTE, so you need to switch back for that manually.
