Video: Hands On With The Super Affordable Nokia 105 Posted: 25 Feb 2013 02:48 PM PST
Last video for tonight as I’m super tired, so I’ll try and get some shut eye (we got a couple interviews with some Nokia people tomorrow, so look forward to that. Here’s a quick look at the super affordable Nokia 105; the phone is actually really super light and quite sturdy for something you could buy for the price of a meal in some countries. The dustproof keypad is pretty sweet (the key press feels REALLY nice) and best of all it’s 15 Euros!!! :O

Video: Voice Guided Self Portrait on Nokia 301 #MWC13 Posted: 25 Feb 2013 08:24 AM PST One of the coolest features in the new Nokia 301(in my opinion) is the slew of built in camera features that you usually wouldn’t see in the normal low end phones. Including panorama, Burst mode and voice guided self portraits. The voice guidance tells you how to position yourself to get your face centered on the viewfinder.
Pretty sweet huh? |
Video: Low Light Comparison- Lumia 720 vs. 920 vs BB Z10- Amazing Results by the 720 #MWC13 Posted: 25 Feb 2013 06:48 AM PST Nokia have set up a little dark room designed to make it look like a romantic night on the tropics. We decided to pit the 720 with its impressive f/1.9 aperture against the low light king, the 920 and the BB Z10. Right off the bat I must say this 720 is AMAZING! Besides the beautiful screen the larger aperture instantly makes a difference, note in the video below how the viewfinder/ camera on the 720 is already a decent bit brighter than the 920 or the Z10.

Jolla Mobile Sailfish Team Spotted Roaming Nokia’s Booth #MWC13 Posted: 25 Feb 2013 06:27 AM PST Here’s a random post to keep you Meego fans happy; although Jolla Mobiles keynote speech is scheduled for Thursday (unfortunately we’re leaving on Wednesday night) . They have a team of Booth-babes roaming around spreading the word; and having people scan QR codes off the babe’s necks. |
Video: Nokia Lumia 520 vs. 620 vs. 720 Comparison Posted: 25 Feb 2013 05:52 AM PST Here’s a quick rundown comparison between the Lumia 720, 620 and 520- in terms of internals they’re all identical except for the cameras and screen material (not resolution).
For the record the 720′s screen is just ridiculously gorgeous!!!! *Sorry for the lack of context in these posts guys; just trying to get these off and run off to get more content :/ |
Video: First Hands on Look At Nokia 301 (Dual SIM) #MWC13 Posted: 25 Feb 2013 05:39 AM PST Here’s another video, this time playing with the new Nokia 301 (apparently not an Asha?); all in all this is a pretty impressive device and really super stylish in terms of design. It takes some obvious hints from the Lumia range and would make for a great backup device to one of them. One of the features that really impressed me was the built in camera add ons such as the voice guided self portrait and the burst mode or Panorama (iPhone 5 *scoff*)

Posted: 25 Feb 2013 03:37 AM PST Hey guys, sorry I haven’t been able to update much but it’s really difficult to get some hands on with these devices right now; but we’ve been promised a closer look soon. In the mean time here’s a quick hands on with Nokia Lumia 720 -BTW it looks like these prototype devices didn’t have the wireless charging cover slots on them for some reason.

Windows Phone hits 130,000 apps ( + Nokia opens APIs to devs) Posted: 25 Feb 2013 02:24 AM PST Stephen Elop released that the Windows Phone store has reached 130,00 apps. It’s good to occasionally get these numbers, even if it is just to reassure devs and users that Windows Phone is a viable platform, and the “app” card can’t really be used as a deciding factor to not go with WP. While on the subject of developers, Nokia is opening up the APIs in regards to imaging, location and music, encouraging devs to publish more innovative and exciting app experiences on the platform. Along with the new APIs, Nokia and Dreamworks have created a partnership that will see a Nokia Exclusive app hitting devices Q3-Q4 2013. There is a Nokia Developer event going on right now, so we may see a lot more information released shortly.
