Nokia Lumia Range and Nokia Design both win Gold IDSA 2013 award, Nokia 206 wins a Bronze! Posted: 02 Jul 2013 03:25 PM PDT Set of awards all around for Nokia in the IDSA 2013 awards. Vibrant colour and materials are certainly standing out as a ‘distinct Nokia character’. Gold for their Nokia Lumia range: http://idsa.org/nokia-lumia-range Gold for Nokia Colour and Materials Design strategy: http://idsa.org/nokia-colour-and-materials-design-strategy And a bronze for the very Fabula/Lumia like Nokia 206: http://idsa.org/nokia-206 Cheers Dan and Viipottaja for the tip! |

Video: Nokia Asha 501 Dual SIM 10 minute tour Posted: 02 Jul 2013 03:37 AM PDT The Nokia Asha 501 comes in a dual SIM variant but unlike traditional Nokias, there’s no new designated number, just a tag at the end that explains exactly what it does. This is also quite a nice 10 minute video showing the Nokia Asha 501 (in yellow) off.

Latest Visual Studio Build Shows off 1080p Windows Phone Support Posted: 01 Jul 2013 11:40 PM PDT We’ve known it was bound to come sometime, but finally we have some proof of 1080p support in Windows Phone 8. The latest Visual Studio 2013 build shows off support for 1080p WP emulator files at a resolution of 1080×1920.
1080p support was rumored to come as part of the GDR3 update alongside quad core support with an expected arrival date of late this year. Hopefully it won’t be much longer now (although I can’t help but feel bad that the EOS will miss out on the 1080p festival).
