Nokia Glance is one of the most awaited features to come to Lumia, after Nokia unveiled the idea back in 2011 on the N9. A few months ago, with the introduction of Lumia Amber, Nokia rolled it out to users on compatible devices. We have a video sent in from a friend, that shows the Always-on clock of Glance screen, stay on once you wake up the device. Its not the first time they’ve gone through the issue either. (Has happened on both “day” and “night” modes.)

Here’s some device info if it helps anyone.

Whether it’s the festival of lights or bonfire night/guy fawkes night, the first post is useful in making the most out of those low light situations.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 does amazingly well in all kinds of lighting situations, capturing those colourful and vibrant Diwali scenes.

ABB Finland with more than 2200 Nokia Lumias (and rising) to employees

Nokia’s Lumia devices have been doing quite well on the enterprise market, taking on where BB had left off. NokConv notes that ABB Finland, one of the world's biggest suppliers of power and robotics technologies has over 2200 Nokia Lumia devices to its employees and that count is rising. Most of those handsets are 920s and 820s though there are others including the 620 and 925. The Red Glossy 920 is a hit as it matches their logo.

ABB’s interim CIO said:

Lumia has several models and price categories and they all give you the same platform and same apps for a very reasonable price.

Efficient mobile email and calendar synchronization is crucial to our business. We are implementing Office 365 globally and with Windows Phone 8 you can use the native email system easily. Plus there's no subscription needed for Office 365 on a Lumia.

We're using the Microsoft ecosystem in our IT environment and it's easier to use that with Windows Phone. It's definitely an advantage. And, of course, HERE navigation apps are very good on Nokia devices.

Out of the available options in the market we thought Nokia Lumia was one of the strongest.

Nokia Lumia smartphones are well built; they're great value; they're very easy to use with Microsoft services and many models include 4G.

The very first Nokia Lumia 920 in the company was red. One reason was because it's the same colour as our logo.
