LeakyLeak: Lumia 525 “Glee” to Come in Yellow, White and Orange Posted: 31 Oct 2013 12:54 PM PDT According the the reliable Nokia leaker, @evleaks; the upcoming Lumia 525 (which Nokia inadvertently leaked itself today) will come in yellow, white and orange. A strange choice of color selection, especially the lack of a black color; the Lumia 520 on the other had shipped in 5 colors (red, yellow, white, black and cyan). It seems Nokia are making a push with the orange color; also seen as a major color on the 1302; possibly replacing the cyan in the lower end models?
The 525 is rumored to be a media player device, so fun bright colors should come as no surprise; especially since this is Nokia we’re talking about. *Note: @evleaks says it was “tipped” so the info might not be as accurate as always, but I doubt he’d share just any tipsters word. thanks for the tip Alvester

Nokia Lumia and Purity Pro featuring on Virgin Atlantic’s Sassy Viral Safety Video! Posted: 31 Oct 2013 10:52 AM PDT
I was watching this Viral Video by Virgin Atlantic – an interesting take on the Safety Video (kinda like that Airline in the Philippines where the stewardesses were dancing) and was happily surprised to see the Nokia Lumia 920, 925 and Purity Pros on show! Now it makes sense as it was tweeted by Ben Rudolf (though he also tweets a lot of non MS related things too) Lol at the simulated screen. Looks like a bezel and button free 925.

Assertive Display Technology on Nokia Lumia 1520 for ultimate sunlight readability Posted: 31 Oct 2013 10:27 AM PDT
Whilt we may have seen videos showing the Nokia Lumia 1520 beasting others in sunlight readability, you may not be aware of how it’s doing it. The Nokia Lumia 1520 features something called Assertive Display Technology whereby on a pixel by pixel basis, the pixels will alter to improve the visibility in different lighting conditions, particularly useful in bright sunlight. This means that you can still see the screen, whether a camera viewfinder or browser which has a high range between dark and light images clearly. It’s this kind of technology that you don’t hear touted about but the kind you really do appreciate when you don’t have to cover your phone’s screen when you’re outdoors to see it. This, along with high brightness, reduced reflection, Clear Black Display and high quality IPS-LCD gives the 1520 one of the best displays on the market. It’s all about these technologies coming together on a Nokia to provide that cohesive innovative experience.
Cheers Alvester for the tip! |

Whoops! Nokia Leaks Lumia 525 In Contest Prize Listing Posted: 31 Oct 2013 09:13 AM PDT Seems someone at Nokia has gotten their lines mixed up, listing the Lumia 525 as a prize for a live nations sweep-stake contest. The grand prize winner will receive tickets to an event plus a Nokia lumia 525! Grand value is $250 so don’t expect the phone to be too expensive. The Lumia 525 was previously rumored as “glee” and said to have some iPod like characteristics, which would make sense including it in a music concert award, who knows when we’ll see the real thing?

T-Mobile Won’t Be Getting Any of Nokia’s Latest Devices Posted: 31 Oct 2013 08:34 AM PDT At Nokia world Nokia announced 2 new Lumias (3 if you count the tablet), with both the 1320 and 1520 being At&t exclusives; and the 2520 coming to both At&t and Verizon. T-Mobile was a no-show at the event in terms of picking up these devices, and now we can confirm according to our sources that T-Mobile will not pick up any of Nokia’s latest assortment of devices; even after At&t’s exclusivity ends. This does come as a bit of a surprise seeing how well the Lumia 521 has been doing on the network, and an “okay” success of the 925, however our source claims that T-Mobile executives decided not to carry these devices for some reason. Of course carrier decisions are not set in stone, and they have changed their minds before (like At&t deciding NOT to carry the Symbian X7), and Verizon after giving WP and Nokia the cold shoulder deciding to embrace it with the 928, the 2520 and soon the 929. Are you a T-Mobile customer interested in one of Nokia’s new devices? Sound off below, and maybe with enough pressure they’ll change their minds.
