Deal Alert: Lumia 925 for One Cent (With Two Year Contract)

Yesterday we mentioned that the Lumia 1020 had received a pic-cut on Amazon bringing it down to $99, well it seems it wasn’t alone as now the Lumia 925 (At&t version) has also had its price slashed. The current list price with a two year contract from At&t is only $.01 or one cent. And even better is that that’s for the sexy black version of the phone! Nokia Lumia 800 lost in a lake for 3 months, still alive and kicking.

Screen Shot 2013-10-27 at 16.42.11This story shared on Nokia Sweden‘s page via Reddit tells of a Nokia lumia 800 that was lost in a lake for 3 and a half months. Normally that would be the end of that story except this being the ‘invincible’ Nokia, it was found and somehow still booted up after being dried and charged up.

 

WP 8.1 notifications and left side swipe from homescreen or concept ?

I’m not sure if we’ve seen this before but this video supposedly demoes a WP8.1 interface. Notice the drop down notifications (well, when pulling down the toast notifications, it expands it) and left of the homescreen, some more interactions (theme chooser, quick settings etc)Screen Shot 2013-10-27 at 16.32.58

Reddit points out that this is a ‘ qzerro ‘ leak. I believe we saw some screenshots along these lines.

Lumia 929 for Verizon leaked in Hands-On Video & Nokia’s Own Commercial

It seems as if the Lumia 929 plans on following in its predecessor’s steps by getting completely and fully leaked then getting a lackluster announcement. The phone seen in a 45 second below has a vey “boxy” appearance similar to that of the Lumia 928, but also has the windows keys bunched together; it also has a very glossy black finish, all previous black devices have carried matte black finishes to hide the smudges so this is interesting.

However this isn’t the first time the device has been leaked, back at Nokia World when the Dragon Adventures game was announced I was pinged asking what the device was, I did some asking around but was told it was “most likely” a filler device or a early prototype of the 1520 (everyone I asked from the Nokia team was Europe based, so I can’t blame them for not knowing).

The phone can be spotted in the advert at around the 35 second mark.
