Weekend Watch: LG G Flex vs Nokia Lumia 1520

Posted: 21 Dec 2013 02:11 AM PST

Screen Shot 2013-12-21 at 10.04.43PhoneArena compares the Nokia Lumia 1520 against the LG G Flex.

1520 gets the points on having the more stylish design, better screen, UI with better design language, music player, more commanding tone speaker.

For Phone Arena, the 1520 gets more bang for the buck. LG Gflex is more for early adopters, what with that curved display.

Taking some pics from Sydney tower, Nokia National training manager, Belinda Ristevski went up with a Nokia Lumia 1020 to show reframing.

The video looks fantastic and it’s great to see it was, yet again, shot on the Nokia Lumia 1020

Video: Temple Run 2 for Windows Phone

Posted: 21 Dec 2013 12:06 AM PST

DSC04518When Temple Run one launched a while back, the game had some serious performance issues, including poor graphics, missed swipes and stuttering performance. Thankfully thought Temple Run 2 doesn’t have any of those issues, and runs buttery smooth (plus it appears to have more features than the Android version of the game- including sliding down a waterfall). So here’s a quick video demo of the game in action (so you can judge for yourselves):

Windows Phone Users Getting 20 Gb Free Skydrive Storage

Continuing with the series of free promos this week (besides Skype and Microsoft vouchers). Microsoft are sending out emails inviting people to use 20 GB extra SkyDrive storage (for one year) to some WP users (just check your email).

The extra storage is useful when using SkyDrive to share files (like videos), and more importantly auto-uploading the camera roll. Interestingly google’s auto-backup uploading to Drive/G+ doesn’t count against your storage limit (for all images and videos shorter than 15 minutes); hopefully Microsoft will follow suite.

Anyways check your Microsoft account email, and enjoy your extra storage for one year.

Temple Run 2 Comes to Windows Phone…Finally (1Gb Devices Only)

Temple Run 2, once again a story of a once was hit Android/iOS game that has faded from the buzz headlines (although still quite popular). IT’s been out for  almost a year now on Android and iOS, well before Temple Run (the original) even landed on Windows Phone; but it’s finally here and that’s what matters right? The sequel comes with more characters, new design and more features; but most importantly for Windows Phone gamers it comes with Xbox Live achievements (and it’s free!).

Currently however the game is only available for devices with 1 Gb of ram, but similar to the original Temple Run (and Subway Surfers) an update will bring compatibility to 512 Mb “soon”.

You can go ahead and grab the game from the link below:
