Aww, hope everyone’s having a good time! I’m just keeling over from the festivities and over zealous eating. Anyhow, whilst attempting to give my jaw a break from food, here’s a very lovely vine from Nokia wishing everyone a Merry Christmas using some of the latest Nokia devices and accessories.

I would have liked to have seen some of the older classics there too, I mean come on, the 3310 is mentioned enough times :p. Family time is about remembering the ones who aren’t there too :).

Cheers Alvester for the heads up!

If you still need a bigger bird, Nokia has something that might help, though in the Angry Bird sense of the word. Mmmm Angry roast turkeys birds and Bad piggies in blanket…mmmm…sounds like a great combo to me :D.

GSM Arena reviews the Nokia Lumia 1520,”a phablet worth having”

There’s a lot of love for the Nokia Lumia 1520 over at GSM Arena which maybe the last Nokia flagship smartphone that they get to review.

It has impressed on design, camera, battery life, display

I like that despite having reviewed the same OS, and more so for WP due to the closer similarities, the OS part still makes the review. It’s great to read about how they’re still praising something like People Hub (which they find to be the best social phone book to date).

The 808 PureView gets a mention in one of the tables (for sunlight contrast ratio where it is top). I’m not exactly sure how this is tested since the likes of the GS3 is higher than the 925 but I know when comparing screens the S3 screen becomes invisible but when the 925 sunlight visibility mode kicks in, I can see it clearly.

Whatever Sunspider tests mean to you, the 1520 is second only to the iPhone 5S (though more average in the second test).

As a result, the Lumia 1520 isn’t all PureView camera but can flex its computing muscle right in the face of a bunch of incredulous droids. And what a bunch that is!
