Sony Nexus X Mockup Spotted Online, May Not be the Real Deal Posted: 15 Oct 2012 10:25 AM PDT We’ve previously heard that Google would release more than one Nexus phone for the anniversary of Android this year. This theory seems to be coming to fruition, since we’ve already seen the leaked LG Nexus 4, some hints about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus II and now a Sony Nexus X mockup. The picture appeared on Picasa and be cautious, as it may be a fake. My first thought when seeing the back of the phone was that it resembles the HTC 8X quite a bit. Notice the microUSB port on the left and also the dock pins on the same side. The idea of placing the connectivity port on the side reminds me of the Xperia Arc S and the Xperia Play, if I’m not mistaking. There’s a very interesting look of the back section, with a lower area that seems to be separated from the upper one and may be in fact a lid for the microSD and SIM card slot, provided that this Nexus phone has a microSD card slot, that would be unusual. In the upper side of the back we spot a pretty big lens camera, with LED flash and the Google logo below it. Upfront there’s a typical rectangular design, virtual keys like on the Galaxy Nexus and a front camera. Honestly speaking, the device seems to be a tad bulky, but it takes more than two pictures to figure that out. So, are you more excited about this model or about the LG Nexus 4? Related posts: |
Sony C660X Yuga Leaked: Mammoth With 6 Inch Display and Jelly Bean Posted: 15 Oct 2012 12:47 AM PDT After we saw the Sony C650X Odin leaking on the web as some sort of ubercool flagship phone, now there’s another Sony monster lurking on the interwebs. This one takes no prisoners and offers some mind boggling specs, that seem to include a 6 inch display. While the Odin had a 5 inch screen with Full HD resolution and a quad core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, plus 2 GB of RAM, the new 6 incher is more mysterious when it comes to specs. The 6 inch C660X Yuga appeared in the AntuTu benchmarking site and the model number on the site shows 6603, with the last digit representing the region where the handset is sold. Yuga scored 11,321 in AnTuTu, a pretty respectable score. According to the benchmark data, Yuga has a 1.5 GHz CPU and Android 4.1.1 preinstalled. Xperia Blog seems to be sure that inside there’s a quad core APQ8064 CPU, the same quad core Snapdragon s4 Pro of the Odin. They also confirmed that from their sources, apparently. So, are we ready to deal with 5 and 6 inch smartphones made by Sony now? Should we take them as phablets? Related posts: |
Huawei Ascend W1 Windows Phone Leaked, Specs Included Posted: 15 Oct 2012 12:44 AM PDT If at first sight this model reminds you of the HTC 8S and 8X, know that it does have something in common with them: Windows Phone 8. This is the Huawei Ascend W1, a WP8 device that was already rumored and now it gets some pics and specs to back up the previous leaks. These images were posted on Chinese social networking site Weibo by user zh__en, who also mentioned some specs for the handset. Ascend W1 packs a 4 inch WVGA display, a 1.2 GHz dual core CPU and a 400 MHz GPU, plus 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. Add to that a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a VGA front shooter and the picture is complete. A 2000 mAh battery rounds up the specs list and I have to say that the back camera here reminds me quite a bit of the HTC One X camera sensor. It’s interesting to notice that the microUSB port at the bottom is not centered, but moved to the right a bit. The phone will come in a variety of colors, with blue being only one of them. Seems that Windows Phone 8 brought color to the world of Windows Phones, since the likes of HTC, Nokia and now Huawei are coloring their cases very much for this OS. I expect the price to be reasonable for the W1. Related posts: |
