Nokia Reading Updated, Brings Import eBooks Feature and News Stream Posted: 22 Sep 2012 07:41 AM PDT Nokia Reading for Lumia devices has apparently received a hefty update bringing a set of much requested features, mainly the ability to side-load eBooks from skydrive (Epub & PDF) as long as the e-book is DRM free. The other new feature is a “news Stream” which is an integrated RSS reader into the app itself, allowing you to browse news and content sources. Personally I haven’t received the update yet (current version is 1.2), even after trying to force the update; has anyone else had any luck getting the update? If so let us know what you think, (and your location please). While you’re waiting check out our review of Nokia Reading on the Lumia 900: |
Leaked?: Nokia Asha 312 + video sample Posted: 22 Sep 2012 07:38 AM PDT Tipped in by @NokiaPureView on twitter, was a link to a video, supposedly recording from the Nokia Asha 312. Hang on? The Asha 312 doesn’t exist! According to the video’s description, the 312 is the 311, but a dual sim variant. It is not a lot to go on, so definitely take this with lots of salt. Here is the video. WARNING: Quality is shocking http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVWG7Gvizs0 Cheers @NokiaPureView for the tip! |
Weekend Watch: Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 demo (vs iPhone, Xperia Acro S and SGSIII) Posted: 22 Sep 2012 01:21 AM PDT This video shows what you may have seen in the previous posts yesterday as it’s from the same event (what ever that was). You can see that super sensitive touch being tested with a cloth and with a key, either way, ANY tool would work (it’s not like when capacitive works by accident when using a thin cloth/latex gloves). The screen from this camera looks overly bright and the camera can’t seem to handle the brightness. The same demo with the remote control car is seen again as is the low light test. Finally we can see the wireless charging in action. You can see how physical connection is not needed. If you could levitate the 920 a bit, it would still charge. Perhaps someone could combine that accessory we saw in the Helsinki Nokia Flagship store where they had something that levitated the 920. by mobiltelefonru of http://mobiltelefon.ru/post_1348170188.html Cheers Evgeny for the tip! |
