ZTE announces 4 New Smartphones in Russia: Grand Era, V790, V887, V889M Posted: 20 Nov 2012 12:29 PM PST ZTE is keeping busy these days, so after being rumored that it’s making a 5 inch 1080p handset as well, plus a Windows Phone 8 device, now it goes ahead and launches 4 new smartphones with Android. The new models debuted in Russia and they’re the following: ZTE Grand Era, ZTE V790, ZTE V887 and ZTE V889M. ZTE Grand Era is the higher unit of them all, also dubbed V985 and packing a 4.5 inch HD display, 8.6 mm thick chassis and an 8 megapixel camera at the back, plus a 1.3 MP front cam. Inside there’s a 1.5 quad core processor and moving on to the ZTE V889M, this is a dual SIM phone with a 4 inch screen, most likely a WVGA one. Inside it there’s a dual core 1 GHz processor and at the back we find a 5 megapixel camera. Other specs include 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of ROM and Android 4.0 ICS. ZTE V887 is also a dual SIM phone with a big 5 inch WVGA display, a dual core 1 GHz processor, a 5 MP shooter, VGA front cam and 512 MB of RAM. 4 GB of ROM and a 2000 mAh battery complete the specs list. Finally, we’ve got the lower end ZTE V790 model, with dual SIM, 3.5 inch HVGA display, a 2 or 3.2 megapixel camera, 512 MB of RAM and 1 GB of ROM. This is also an Android 4.0 ICS device. Verizon’s Black Friday Offer Includes Cranberry Version of Droid RAZR for Free, More Goodies Posted: 20 Nov 2012 10:13 AM PST Black Friday is only 3 days away and already big retailers and carriers have started displaying their offers, that may or may not appeal to fans. Verizon also has some hot products, like the Motorola Droid RAZR from last year, now available in a never before seen cranberry colored version and sold for free with contract. They did a similar thing with the Incredible 2 last year, so this is sort of a trend. Aside from the RAZR, we also have the Galaxy Nexus and LG Lucid available for free, also with 2 near year contracts. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 4G LTE, pictured above is priced at $99, with contract we guess. There are some accessory deals as well, including a Jambox for 50% off. You should also know that this week the HTC Droid DNA goes on sale on Verizon and this is the famous 5 inch 1080p quad core phone that everyone is talking about. Then there are the Windows Phone models like the Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC 8X and I wonder if Verizon will also come up with special offers for those. I bet that AT&T will surprise us with something in that area… Related posts: |
Oppo Ulike 2 Features 5 Megapixel Front Camera, Brings Some Feminine Features With It Posted: 20 Nov 2012 10:05 AM PST It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of those handsets made for the senoritas… Remember the times of Nokia’s L’amour and Samsung Lafleur? Well, now there’s a model called Oppo Ulike 2, that comes from China and features a 5 megapixel front camera, that serves as the makeup mirror for the ladies. Dubbed U705T as well, the Oppu Ulike 2 isn’t the average feminine phone that only gets a coat of pink paint and that’s it. It’s much more than that! It’s a full fledged “women’s phone” and it has a chance of becoming a small local hit. Frankly speaking I can’t think of any high end smartphones to feature cameras above 2 MP… Anyway, know that the handset also has a 4.5 inch display with a crazy small bezel, just 2.2 mm. It will be very good for one handed operation, while holding a purse or a latte in the other hand. The phone measures 8.95 mm in thickness and comes with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a dual core CPU and 1 GB of RAM. It also has 16 GB of storage, Android 4.0 ICS as the OS and the front camera has some cool effects applied in real time to the viewfinder, like whitening, face lift, eye enhancement and more.
