Twitter Now Supporting Inline Preview for Images Uploaded from Windows Phones Posted: 03 Nov 2012 11:09 AM PDT For a while now one of my major issues with the Windows Phone syncing with Twitter was that uploaded images were sent to SkyDrive, meaning that they didn’t show up in the twitter feed as images, only as links. Well now twitter has tweaked it so that image links from skydrive appear as images in your twitter stream, rather than links redirecting you to SkyDrive. All I want now is autocomplete twitter handles in People’s hub please and thank you. |
Video: Lumia 920 Painstakingly Made in Minecraft Posted: 03 Nov 2012 08:05 AM PDT There are plenty of different ways to show your love of Nokia, some people write in blogs (yours truly), others read everything Nokia related, other tweet about it, or obsessively buy ever single Nokia product; and then there are people who do this:
What you’re watching is a Lumia 920 made in MineCrarft, with a working camera shutter (front and back) and a whole load more of crazy details, all made with tiny little minecraft blocks (or should we call them tiles?).

Windows Phone Game: Cosmos Conquest Posted: 03 Nov 2012 06:26 AM PDT Cosmos Conquest is a really cool simple game developed by a bunch of high-school trainees at Nokia over the summer. The game reminds me of that simple car racing game that would come with your happy meal (the one were you only move left and right). Anyways check out the video below:

Nokia Lumia 920 Red and Yellow appear on Phones4U (+Free Play360 for first 500) Posted: 03 Nov 2012 02:20 AM PDT You know I’ve been hunting around for the Nokia Lumia 920 in bright Electric Pikachu Yellow. We heard that would be exclusive to Phones4U yet only now has Yellow (and Red) appeared. Previously, even Phones4U sales staff on the phone said they only had black and white available. Whilst the Black and White may be ordered now, there’s a little wait for the red and yellow. Also, first 500 peeps get a free Nokia Play 360. Dang! By the time the yellow one is available I hope they have another offer. The play 360 is a beast and totally trounces several speakers I’ve heard from friends of similar size and bigger (especially those awful iPod docks). The NFC capability is much welcome when wowing friends of the ease of wireless connection as well as the loud punchy bass from such a small speaker. The only available network is the only UK 4G network – EE (Joint T-Mobile/Orange) |
Nokia Lumia 920 coming to Germany, November 5th Posted: 03 Nov 2012 02:13 AM PDT Remembe, remember, the 5th of November. Place that date on your diary, German Nokia Lumia 920 fans as that’s when it will be available. Nokia Press Release says (translated):

The Independent’s 10 best new smartphones. #1 – Nokia Lumia 920 Posted: 03 Nov 2012 01:47 AM PDT
The Independent, respectable British newspaper, ran a story on the 10 best new smartphones. Though their blurb doesn’t fully explain why the Nokia Lumia 920 is quite deserving of this list, I’ll accept the first place position.
Cheers rishabh for the tip! |
