Sapphire Launches HD 7950 Flex Edition Graphic Card

AMD is one of the largest graphic card manufacturers in the world. In January 2012, AMD had launched the most anticipated HD 7950 graphic card. AMD Radeon HD 7970 is the fastest single GPU (graphics processing unit) graphics card at present. Next to HD 7970, it’s HD 7950 in terms of performance or speed of operation.

Earlier, AMD graphic cards allowed users to connect two monitors side by side (called Eyefinity setup) using DVI ports. If the user wants to connect another (third) monitor too, then he should buy some adapter from outside market.

But, with the launch of Sapphire’s new HD 7950 Flex Edition card, users can connect two monitors to the two DVI ports and the third one to the HDMI port, through HDMI – DVI adapter bundled in the package. So the user can connect 3 monitors simultaneously through DVI ports and there is no need for the user to buy any adapter from outside market.

If you’re one, who’s seeking this feature, then this Sapphire HD 7950 Flex edition graphic card is the highest performance card available currently.

It’s the habit of most of the serious gamers to extract more performance out of the graphic cards they buy. It is possible through overclocking the clock speed of core clock and memory clock of the graphic card (clock speed is nothing but frequency). Sapphire provides a tool to do overclocking, called TriXX. It allows tuning or overclocking of Core clock, memory clock as well as voltage levels too. Not only that, it allows the user to control the fan speed manually and also he may create upto four profiles of custom fan settings.

Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Flex Edition Specifications

  • Core Clock: 860 MHz
  • Memory Clock: 1250 MHz (5Gb/s Effective)
