Samsung Angers Judge Lucy Koh by Leaking Information to the Press Posted: 01 Aug 2012 02:14 PM PDT One may assume that during a lawsuit you may want to keep to yourself vital info that pertains to the courtroom and official documents. That’s exactly what Samsung wasn’t able to do, by leaking information from the Apple vs Samsung lawsuit. Now Judge Lucy Koh found out and demands some names and punishment. Up until now the Judge tried to be fair and stopped Apple when their claims were too big and also penalized Samsung for their infringements. However, the many appeals that Samsung had must have tired the judge. Previously, Judge Koh disallowed the testimony related to the Sony designs that predated the Apple iPhone, so those were not relevant this time. Samsung’s attorney asked to use the designs one more time, only to get threatened with sanctions by Koh, who had already heard motions in this direction. And the latest trouble was caused by the fact that Judge Lucy Koh didn’t allow pictures of the Samsung F700 into the trial. This device precedes the first iPhone by a few months and actually resembles its design a bit, proving Samsung’s originality. Well, seeing that they couldn’t use the pics in court, Samsung leaked the F700 slides to the press, making the Judge very angry. And the trial goes on, with Samsung on the bad side of the judge… Related posts: |
New Sony Xperia SL Press Pictures Appear In New Color Versions Posted: 01 Aug 2012 01:44 PM PDT The Sony Xperia SL phone is just one of the newcomers expected to debut during the pre IFA 2012 conference that Sony announced recently. That will take place on August 29th and it may include the debut of maybe even half a dozen handsets. The Sony Xperia SL has been rumored before and it appeared in blue and pink last month. The yet unannounced handset now has 3 new color versions: black, silver and white. ePrice scored these press photos of the handset, that’s actually not different from the Xperia S, launched earlier this year. The biggest and probably only change is the bump in CPU, to a dual core 1.7 GHz unit. Sony’s new handsets could also include the Xperia J and LT29i Hayabusa, that could come at the end of the current month. Sadly, it appears that the Xperia SL will come with Android 4.0, although I would have liked Jelly Bean on it, if you ask me. The SL will probably have a Snapdragon S3 processor, so don’t expect a surprise S4 CPU here. If you want that Snapdragon version there’s the Xperia GX and SX to get in Japan with LTE on board. I also expect to see the Tegra 3 tablet from Sony leaked recently also shown at IFA 2012. Related posts: |
