Micromax Introduces Two New Smartphones: 5 Incher Superfone Canvas A100, 4.3 Inch Pixel A90 Posted: 20 Aug 2012 10:55 AM PDT Micromax is a company in India, that just introduced two interesting handsets, one of them sporting the popular phablet format. I’m talking about the Superfone Canvas A100, picture below on the left of the image. It comes with a 5 inch LCD display and Android 4.0 ICS as the OS of choice. The phone supports a modest 854 x 480 pixel resolution, but more about specs after the break. The Canvas A100 incorporates a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a front VGA camera, as well as a dual core 1 GHz processor and 4 GB of built in storage, as well as a microSD card slot. You might have guessed that this is a dual SIM model and you’ve guessed it right. The other newcomer is the Micromax Superfone Pixel A90, with a 4.3 inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED display. This one ups the ante with an 8 megapixel rear camera and it has a Siri-like feature called AISHA. We also have the pricing for these two models: the bigger one is priced at $180 off contract, while the smaller one goes for $234. Both are best buys nowadays, unless you want to get your hands on that cool Xiaomi quad core Snapdragon handset, that will come soon enough. Related posts: |
Samsung Preparing Two New Windows Phone 8 Models: Odyssey and Marco Posted: 20 Aug 2012 02:48 AM PDT After hearing information about Nokia and HTC’s new Windows Phone 8 devices, it’s time for Samsung’s reveal. Apparently, these models leaked in court while battling Apple and now it seems that Samsung will reach 5 phones with Microsoft’s platform on board. We’ve got the Omnia 7, Omnia W and Omnia W, plus the two newcomers: Odyssey and Marco. Both will be released in the last quarter of 2012, according to people in the know. One of them will be a high end unit and the other a mid end one. Luckily we also have some specs for these handsets, courtesy of the tipster that informed Sammobile.com. Samsung GT-I8370 Omnia will be codenamed Marco, priced at 350 – 450 euros and feature a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, 5 megapixel camera, 1.9 MP cam at the front and 8 GB storage. It also comes with a microSD card slot and a dual core Krait 1.5 GHz processor. And then there’s the Samsung GT-I8750 Omnia model called Odyssey, with a HD Super AMOLED 4.8 inch display, an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 1.9 megapixel camera at the front. The handset also offers 16/32 GB of storage, as well as microSD and a dual core Krait 1.5 GHz processor. In this case the price will be between 500 and 600 euros. So, Nokia have Lumia, Samsung have Omnia and HTC also has a bunch of newcomers. Will they increase Windows Phone’s market share? Related posts: |
