Samsung GT-B9150 Exynos 5250-Based Device Leaks

Posted: 21 Oct 2012 02:40 AM PDT

Samsung may have recently launched two interesting devices, Galaxy Music and Galaxy S III Mini, but it’s not done here. Now we’ve just spotted the name of a newcomer, the Samsung GT-B9150, that was found on some Japanese websites. The sources detail an Android 4.1.1 device that relies on a new generation of CPU.

The processor used here is the dual core Exynos 5250 1.7 GHz unit and the handset is supposed to support WiFi and a HD resolution. The “B” particle of its name indicates that this is a QWERTY device, a format that most Android phone makers haven’t used that much lately. Could this be the rumored Samsung Galaxy Q? Or some sort of new mini tablet?

There’s also a speculation that this could be a Chromebook of sorts, but I can’t see that happening. The Exynos 5250 CPU in a 2 GHz version was originally supposed to debut on the Galaxy Note II, but it may be kept for the Galaxy S IV, in a superior version, maybe Exynos 5450. Well, at least we’ll get that cool Mali T604 GPU, for ubercool gaming.

HTC DLX Verizon Version Leaks in Fresh Pictures

Posted: 21 Oct 2012 02:31 AM PDT

HTC DLX was rumored for a while now, as the fresh 5 inch phablet that HTC was speculated to make. It even leaked at some point, in some blurry pictures, but today we’ve got our hands on some nifty hands on pictures that are pretty clear. From the looks of it, this is supposed to be a Western version of the HTC J Butterfly.

The Butterfly was unveiled this week in Japan and it’s the first 1080p 5 inch phone on the market. The last time DLX leaked, it also had some specs to accompany the blurry shots. The hardware details included a 5 inch Full HD display, 1.5 GB of RAM, a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU and Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 as the OS. Other specs include a 12 megapixel camera and a 2500 mAh battery. The latter is particularly good news, since the Japanese J Butterfly only as a 2000 mAh battery.

DLX should be pronounced “deluxe” in this case and it comes with Beats Audio technology and 4G LTE support. I wonder if this model will have a Super LCD 2 or Super LCD 3 display panel, with the latter being the choice for the Japanese model. We’ll see…

Sony C650X Odin Supposedly Leaked, Could be a Mockup

Posted: 21 Oct 2012 02:09 AM PDT

After last week’s leak of the Sony C650 Odin in benchmarks, the 5 inch 1080p device is back, this time with a supposed hands on picture. The source of the leak warns us that we may be dealing with a mockup, but a very well done one, the work of designer Jsus, who sent them the picture.

Odin is supposed to be a big deal, since it’s Sony’s first quad core smartphone, or better said phablet, since it has a 5 inch display with a 1080p resolution. The Sony newcomer will be a 2013 flagship, one that offers a 441 pixel density screen and inside we find the already classic Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU with Adreno 320 GPU, a choice adopted recently by the LG Optimus G, ASUS PadFone 2 and HTC’s first phablet, J Butterfly.

Sony C650X Odin also packs 2 GB of RAM and possibly a camera with a resolution over 10 megapixels. As far as the design goes, we’ve got a glass facade with the Xperia logo all covered up and what looks like an edge to edge display. The device looks very compact, so the 5 inch screen integration is an interesting one. So, what is it folks, a mockup or a hands on picture?
